Humanscale Enhances the Connected Office at CES 2016
Leader in Ergonomic Workplace Design to Reveal Revolutionary New Software and Hardware Solutions to Improve Health and Efficiency at Work
New York, NY, January 2016 – A leader in ergonomic workplace design, Humanscale is known for creating impactful innovations in seating, lighting, desking, and technology. By integrating intelligent software with its products, Humanscale delivers expert office tools that create the powerful, connected workspace. Its newest solutions, OfficeIQ and M/Connect, are set to take center stage at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. Beyond its products, Humanscale stands out as the only office furniture company exhibiting at the fair. Regarded as experts in their field, members of the Humanscale team have been selected to participate in the CES panel program.
At booth 74047 in the Digital Health Pavilion at Tech West at the Sands Expo, visitors will be able to test simulations of these new developments alongside other celebrated Humanscale offerings, including the newly released QuickStand Lite™, a retrofittable, height-adjustable workstation equipped with a flexible keyboard and monitor arm for increased range of motion that encourages sit/stand collaboration among users.
M/Connect, a sleek and efficient new USB docking station, will launch at CES 2016 and will be ready to order in February. M/Connect works in tandem with Humanscale’s M8 and M2 monitor arms and acts as a universal connectivity hub, providing six USB ports (three are high-speed) alongside ergonomic comfort at the workstation. Designed to remove clutter and conceal cables, M/Connect was engineered to increase user productivity and efficiency.
OfficeIQ, a first-of-its-kind connected office solution, was created by Humanscale in collaboration with Detroit-based start-up Tome Software. Using sensor technology from a lightweight, portable box positioned on or under a height-adjustable work surface, OfficeIQ gathers data on sit/stand use, calculates caloric expenditure, and provides users with real time feedback on workstation activity. At CES 2016, Humanscale and Tome will present new developments to this innovative technology as they expand the product to enhance the connected conference room. Sensors can now be affixed to conference or task chair casters to monitor occupancy in conference room settings, impacting the way companies utilize communal space.
